    Question on ISTsvc.exe and hijackthis!

    Hi!
I have a problem with ISTsvc.exe. For what I have read in the forum archive, I downloaded hijackthis! and scanned my computer. I got a VERY long list of results and am absolutely lost at what I should delete (apart from istsvc.exe). Can anyone help me, please?
    Thanks!!

IST bar is a naughty toolbar, it added all those trusted sites to your IE zones as well as other stuff. As you appear to be using the wonderful and much underrated Norton Antivirus I would guide you to this page http://www.symantec.com/security_res...632-99&tabid=3 which will inform you of the removal instructions. They do a seperate removal tool as detailed on that page.

There is a lot of other naughty stuff in your log - I would post it to www.hijackthis.de to get a better view if I were you. You need to run a spyware remover like Webroot Spysweeper, Ewido or CounterSpy (which work free for 15 days or more).

I'm using Windows 7 - you got a problem with that?

I would also recommend SpywareBlaster as a preventative measure.
