Help me un-fubar Firefox under Linux

Dunno how it happened or what I did to cause this. I was tinkering around in my Suse 10.0 this morning, changing themes and such, and found that FF would no longer open. The icon bounces around and such like Suse icons do when clicked on, then the window flashes onscreen for a second then is gone again.

Regardless what I did and attempt to undid, FF still acts the same. Any ideers?

    Noia Rubber Icons ?

Did you try uninstalling FF & reinstall ?

Bouncing icons change your cursor to the tennis racket theme.....

ok, so 1st I tried just to update FF - didn't fix it.

then removed it, rebooted, and reinstalled FF - didn't fix it.

Any other suggestions? very odd tho. My other Suse box is the very same. FF on it hasn't worked for a few months now.

check the icon link and make sure it points to the correct exectuable. (or try to run firefox from your "root" account. If that works, then it could be something is wrong with the user account.)

Have you tried running the firefox application from a terminal console?

its the file "firefox". You run it by entering its name in command line. For example, if you're already in the folder, type ./firefox, and press enter. (In this case you must include the "./")
