Windows Vista - Trouble with geforce drivers and SLI mode

    hello

    here are my specs:

    processor: athlon amd 64 3500+
    ram: 2gb
    mobo: a8n-sli (asus)
    graphics: dual geforce 6600 GT
OS: windows vista home premium 64-bit version

my problem. i installed windows vista home premium 64-bit version. when i try to install the appropriate drivers from nvidia for my setup it disables one of my graphics cards, and an error pops up saying so. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers..and i also tried a beta version of the drivers. same thing happens. any ideas?

    thank you.

Is there a reason you opted for the 64bit version vs the 32bit?....there are multiple problems with vista but even more with the 64bit version...even MS has issues with their own items going into the 64bit version and I am speaking from experience...lol.....but there are more issues going on with vista than you might think....especially hardware vs software. I would have opted for at least a dual boot on your system so you would have the option of playing vs playing around with vista....just my humble opinion.

yeah. i have the 32 bit version, just wanted to try out the 64 bit version i spose. maybe ill just use the 32 bit version till most of the 'major' roadblocks are hammered out. seems to be a few hah.

    thank you.

can you return the vista package to the shop? I would try to get store credit, load in XP Pro and then upgrade to Dual 7900 GT

Oh, Vista has many many many many probs with drivers (especially Nvidia) and doesn't like gaming
