Linux Mint 2.2 "Bianca" is out !

Linux Mint is an Ubuntu-based distribution whose goal is to provide a more complete out-of-the-box experience by including browser plugins, media codecs, support for DVD playback, Java and other components. It is compatible with Ubuntu software repositories.

Thanks for the info FG.Have you tried it out or just commenting? What do you like about the distro?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I'm using it right now. Its a pretty (real nice) version of Ubuntu that comes with full multimedia support, an easy way to Auto mount drives (mintDisk), and IMO a much better Control Center.

You can remaster your own LiveCD like PCLinuxOS, get it Here

It takes most of the hassle out of Ubuntu IMO, for new Linux users I'd recommend this over Ubuntu.

They have a KDE version coming out, that's what I would like.

As Zipp would say, Happy Linux

    I think you'll like it

Since you're more experienced with Ubuntu than the rest of us give a short review of what you think between the two
