Windows not opening correct folder or cannot find the correct folder in BT client

I get this sometimes, or it opens MyDocuments instead, but usually on the second try the correct folder opens. So far, no one knows of or has this problem but me:

    2. There's a newer version. Hit "Check for updates" under Help.
    3. See what happens if you fly under the radar for too long? You get all these glitches. Then you have to come back home to get them fixed.

Um.... Try uninstalling, doing a registry search and delete of any reference to utorrent, rebooting and then reinstalling.

I get "Windows cannot find x\xx\xxx.doc" errors in Office 2007. Maybe it's a Vista bug. Try the Vista newsgroups.

er...everytime I update or reinstall, the problem eventually comes back - and this is a windows XP forum thread. The thing is when my windows can't find the file, it's gibberish the text is all screwed up or it opens my documents instead.

Are you sure you have updated to the latest "stable" release?

I notice from your screenie you are still using the 1.7 beta.

Try the stable version 1.7.2 here

Before installing the stable version completely uninstall the old version and delete any outstanding torrents.

Then run CCleaner which will clear any redundant registry entries and associations.

    Now install utorrent version 1.7.2.

I can't delete torrents. I'm responsible for a 1:1 share. I have been though many versions and they all do this. I'll have to wait until I catch up and stop downloading stuff. As I was saying, it's only an annoyance because it doesn't happen all the time but when it does, the second try opens the correct folder. Thanks for the advice, I will remember to do this when the opportunity arises.

Hehe, the second try opened the correct folder. Perhaps because I have complete files located in a different partition

scan for rootkits and other embedded files occupying the NTFS secondary data stream.

And turn your PC off for at least 10 minutes a day. Needs a cold boot sometimes. Gets a hotfoot.
