    Angry What's going on ??

    Hi guys, this is my very first time in here, and i do have a question for you, for some reason, every time a right click on ANY ICON the hourglass appears and stays there FOREVER until i reset my machine, any idea what might be causing this headache ??

    By the way, i use windows 98se, i have a slow and old COMPAQ PRESARIO 5360.

    If you could give a little more info such as CPU speed, amount of RAM and maybe what kind of processes are running. Did this just start happening recently? If so, did you install anything around that time? Also, when was the last defrag?

    It just start recently and i just defrag last night

    Try deleting all contents of your Windows/Temp folder.

    Well you seem to pass PC Pitstop just fine.... I havn't a clue to your problem

    I know that with the amount of ram you have I'd for sure get rid of this.....File Name
    C:\PROGRA~1\CACHEMAN\CACHEMAN.EXE

    What's your anti-virus program? Try turning off the full time option and see if that makes a difference. I had a similar problem with McAfee about 1½ years ago. Slowed the system down to a crawl especially with menu openings such as right click.


    Finally removed it and haven't looked back.
