    laptop problems

    I've had my laptop a few months now but all of a sudden it's slow as hell. it has 2 Gb ram fitted and an AMD Turion ML-34 1.8Ghz processor. i have very little running in the background and the HD is only half full. does anyone have any ideas. i defrag regularly and disk clean up when i can.

    You leave out the most important thing, XP, Vista, or Linux. I am going to assume that it is Vista with all the eye candy turned on. Do thorough checks for AdAware and other malware and turn off the eye candy.

    I guess that if I had paid attention to the forum this was posted, I would have figured out that it is XP you are having problems with. The same rules apply. Check for malware and turn off the extras.
