    no sound [FIXED]

I moved my computer to another room for a day and used headphones for sound. I moved my computer back to the office - now I have no sound (system and multimedia). I have sound using Nvidia mixer wizard but that's all. Can someone help? I looked at all the simple settings (volume, mute)

Are the headphones or speakers plugged into the correct holes on the back-panel of your case... I know my motherboard has 6 holes, and I get the colors wrong... I think it should be plugged into the Green Hole...

Are you using fancy 5.1 Speakers or Digital Out?

I plugged the speakers into to green hole where it's been for years. As I was saying, I can hear the wizard's white noise when it asks me if there is sound - but no other sound works.

I can also see sound on the spectrum analyzer when playing vlc but no sound.

*edit - note to self: use flashlight when under desk to find green hole. Thanks cash!
