    fax via cable modem?

Dunno if this is hardware, drivers or networking, but....
Is it possible to send a fax over a cable connection, or do I need a dial-up modem?

Last night, I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I'll never know.

Well just using a cable modem its not possible. The are however web services like www.efax.com that will let you send and recieve fax's through the net. Otherwise you'll need to get a dialup modem, which I imagine are pretty cheap these days.
