Change Regions from Pal to NTFC???

    Hey guys,

My girlfriend and I have DVD's that are rare and only produced in the PAL/UK format. Is there a good piece of software that will convert these so we can watch?

    Thanks!

aren't DVD looked by region codes?
UK should be region 2 I believe, and USA is region 1.
AnyDVD will remove the region code checker to play DVDs. I watch Japanese DVD which are also region 2. I know there are also a couple of other programs as well

are these to be watched on your standalone dvd player?
if so,there's likely to be a hack for your player.
with mine, the drawer needs to be open and then input 4 digits,
this then takes you to the region page,
    then select region free.

dont know if that helps any.

    ill be back soon,
    just watching some paint dry.

If you are still curious about this, I actually wrote a tutorial for converting from PAL > NTSC (or vice versa) on my blog:

I would just copy & paste, but I have screenshots on the blog post that will be helpful. You need to rip the DVD to your hard drive for this to work; I didn't cover those steps in my tut, so if you need help with that, just let me know.

Well the simple method would be to either fly to UK or buy a TV from there

    FF's tutorial is very handy.
