WIN CIH
Hi there
My other half's laptop has the virus WIN CIH. He does a virus check and it says it is clean. However, the next time he does a check, it say WIN CIH is there, which he cleans and then it reappears.
Does anyone know how we can get rid of it permanently please.
Thanks in advance.

What operating system?
CIH (aka Chernobyl) only affects 95,98 and ME.
Some antivirus programs flag it up as a false positive.

when booting up press F8 before the xp splash screen. you can get to system restore by right clicking on my computer and going to properties.
