    unable to remove dvd drive from drive bay (Solved)

    my system specs: Systemax Ascent HA3700 RTS PC

    i cannot remove the dvd from the drive bay. i removed the screws and it wont move foward or backward. does anyone have any idea hot to remove this drive from the drive bay. i done it in other computers but this one is built different. is there a way to release the dvd drive from the drive bay?

    can you take a picture and post it of the case with the side off. we might be able to figure it out for you. You do have to remove both sides and take the screws out. Or could be plastic clips if the case is tool-less.

    Sometimes there are metal or plastic tabs that also need to be pushed in before you can slide it out.

    You could also try taking off the whole panel from the front of the case. They are usually just a snap fit.

    i would but the front is riveyed to the top and side of the case.

    problem solved there were clips on the front of the case. after removing the clips the dvd drive came right out. thanks for your help!
