    Hello and thanks.

So now the next obvious question/s , which of these if the best in terms
of ease of use and functionality.

I saw one of the web sites asks what format you want the vid in ???
and it seemed like there were a lot.

What I'm trying to do is simply copy/download a vid from utube or anywhere like that, so that I can burn it and show it to people that don't have a computer or internet......

So it's not like I'm trying to burn Hollywood movies etc...

    Thanks

Uuugghhhh just a every day DVD player ???

Like I said, I want to be able to get these then burn em, so I can
give them to friends who might not have access to the WEB, but they have
    a computer OR DVD......

So I guess I'm looking for something that could be playable on both.... ?

p.s. I found these also..... how would they compare to what you have mentioned.

OK, so take a DVD you know works on both, put it in the drive, see what the file extension is, and go with that format. As to the apps, I wouldn't know. The sites I mentioned I have used, cause I wanted Bugs Bunny and Python on my cell phone.

Cowboy, none of the formats that you download the videos from the web will work 'normally' in the standard DVD player.

You first have to download the youtube clip, say in FLV or MP4 or AVI format... then you need to convert into a DVD (MPEG2) compatible format... then burn as a DVD Video Disc.

Do google search for "AVI to DVD" for apps & further info. PS. those apps you found are good but not for your purposes.
