Start computer and and open IE8
Is there a way to have Vista with IE8 automatically open IE8 after it boots up ? When I come home from work, I press the ON button on the computer and then go change etc. When I come back to the computer I then 99.9 %
of the time open IE8. It usually takes several seconds because Avira is downloading the latest AV updates etc. It would be nice to have all that done while I am changing etc. Thanks, Mike

sure, it is easy. You can do this in any Windows OS (Vista, XP, 7, 98)
Just copy a shortcut of the application that you want to start when the user logs in in the Startup folder (Start>All Programs>Startup)
If you want to open an application for all users you need to add it in the All users profile by right clicking the start menu and selection "Explore all users", then go to programs>Startup.
