trouble sending OE 6 attachments
I am unable to open attachments sent to me by a mate of mine. They also come in multiples.
It is not my P.C.s problem ,as it happens to whoever he sends attachment's to. I have got him to delete his outbox.dbx but this does not fix it
Also e-mails to him are going to his deleted folder.
I am coming to the conclusion that his hard drive may be corrupted.
Has anyone got any thoughts?

Has he checked his machine for viruses?
If you are 100% sure the attachments are not a virus try adjusting your security settings.
Open Outlook Express and on the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Security tab uncheck 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus'.
Click OK.
Note: Do not alter the security settings in Outlook Express unless you have an up-to-date anti-virus software installed and running.
With regards to emails going straight to his deleted items folder, get him to check his junk mail settings and/or message rules. He may have accidently set up a delete rule.
Also is he using any kind of third party spam killer?

Can I suggest trying Windows Live mail to see if it does send the emails correctly?
Also, another thing that you can try is to create a new identity and setup the email account again and see if it does it with a new identity.
However, the very first step still is to make sure the anti virus is up to date, and run a full scan
