Question Sony Vaio - how to remove fan

    What ho.

Anyone know how to get the back off a 2-yr old Vaio to clean the fan? It's red hot and has never been cleaned.

Removed all the screws I can find but something is holding it on at one corner.

Any tips or links to images appreciated. Thanks very much.

not sure with the vaio but with dells you can access most of the MOBO by taking the keyboard and access it from the top. If you have the model # that might help us.

try removing the harddrive cover and hardrive and also the cover for the memory slots.
i think you might find a couple of screws under there.

i don't think you need to remove the keyboard to access the fan.

    ill be back soon,
    just watching some paint dry.
