Bungie and publisher Microsoft will release Limited and Legendary collector's editions of the first-person shooter Halo: Reach at launch. The editions are available for pre-order now, both companies said in a statement.

The Limited Edition of Halo: Reach will feature the game in a recovered ONI "black box," an artifact bag with a journal and classified documents tied to the Halo story and exclusive Elite armor for multiplayer modes. This edition will sell for $79.99.

The $149.99 Legendary Edition will include UNSC custom packaging, a special Spartan armor effect for multiplayer, and a 10-pound Noble Team statue created by McFarlane Toys.

While the game does not launch until this fall, players will get their first taste of action on May 3 through a multiplayer beta, available to those who purchased a copy of Halo 3: ODST.
