    Memory question

I assume that 3 Gig of DDR3 SDRAM 1066 MHz is better than
2 Gig of DDR3 SDRAM 1333 MHz ???? Thanks, Mike

I agree. The larger amount of memory allows a bigger portion of your work to be in memory for fast access. That should be faster than smaller portions of your work having to be moved from the drive to ram more often, even if the 2 GB of memory is faster.

    Can of worms here....

First it depends on how much RAM your app actually needs... I would go with the faster ram, as you can then usually overclock your CPU to matching FSBs and get better CPU latency.

However, if you actually need more than 2gb, then it is obvious.

Also, this is sort of mute* point now with 64bit O/S with >4gb memory capacity... i think 6gb triple channel is common?.
