    Can't read floppy

A few months ago, I saved some data to a floppy drive. Now, when I try to read the floppy, I get a message that the floppy is not formatted, do I want to format it. Well, nooo, I do not want to format the floppy. Anyone know of any tricks to try ? I have tried to read the floppy on both external floppy readers as well as built in floppy readers, on different computers. Not really that important, but I was just wondering if there are any tricks to try. Thanks, Mike

Download Gentoo (or other live version of Linux) and create live CD or DVD. Then boot to Linux on startup. If info remains on the floppy you should be able to read and work with it.
    Linux Mint Debian Edition
