    Picking the Linux version that is right for you

    Linux.com has issued its 2011 Linux Distro Scoreboard. They have narrowed it down to six distributions providing information on strengths and weaknesses. The distros discussed are:


    • Debian
    • Fedora
    • Linux Mint
    • openSUSE
    • Slackware
    • Ubuntu

    Not all of the distros are recommended for the beginner. In fact, only two, Ubuntu and my favorite Linux Mint are rated for the new Linux user.
