    Fake Drive Failure

    Malware has surfaced that simulates a hard drive failure. Some files are moved to a temporary location, making them disappear. It also sets registry to ignore some software icons. The user will likely interpret these events as a drive failure. This is all done to sell software to recover the lost days.
