Apple on Wednesday rolled out iOS 7, the latest revamp of its mobile operating system.

iOS 7 is available as a free upgrade for the iPhone 4 and above, iPad 2 and above, iPad mini, and fifth-generation iPod touch. To see if it has hit your device, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Or, plug your gadget into a PC to check for updates via iTunes. The update is 752MB, but requires as least 3.1GB of storage to download. You might run into delays in the next few hours as people clamor to download. .

Apple first unleashed iOS 7 to the developer community at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) on June 10. The update is "the biggest change to iOS since the iPhone," Apple CEO Tim Cook said at the time. After several beta versions, Apple announced last week that iOS 7 would arrive on Sept 18. It will also come pre-loaded on Cupertino's new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, which hits stores on Friday.
