In a case of life imitating art, three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of robbery, during which a watch, a mobile phone, and a copy of Grand Theft Auto 5 were stolen.

Three males — 15, 16, and 18 years old — are currently in custody at a north London police station following a violent attack on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police reported that a 23-year-old man was on his way home from presumably picking up the latest GTA 5 video game when he was hit with a brick, stabbed, and robbed on Princes Avenue in Colindale, North London. The unnamed victim was taken to a hospital, where he remains in stable condition, police said.

Not everyone resorted to violence to get their hands on the new GTA installment. Back in the U.S., three men posed as New York City police officers in an effort to be first in line at the Staten Island Mall to buy the new title.

The suspects, who are 19 and 20 years old, according to CBS New York, took off in a vehicle once used as an unmarked police car. They have been charged with criminal impersonation.
