Twitter has started rolling out its profile redesign to all users. The update makes Twitter appear more like Facebook, and draws attention to user pictures.

Tweets that have received the most engagement will appear in bold so users can easily find the best Twitter content. Users will also be able to pin one of their Tweets to the top of their profile page, so it is easy for their followers to see.

The redesign will also allow users to filter Tweets when looking at other users’ timelines, so they can choose between a number of options: Tweets, Tweets with photos and videos, or Tweets and replies.

Twitter designer David Bellona said in a blog post: “Your Twitter profile shows the world who you are. We look forward to seeing what that means to you."

Many Twitter users are likely to need time to adjust to the new look with several writing they are not impressed with the new layout.

“Twitter is suggesting me to try the new twitter profile update thing. Ummm how about no,” tweeted Twitter user @klaineuniverse. While @ayelikekidrauhl said: “Damn I don’t like this update.”
