Alienware's 18-Inch Laptop Returns
Alienware today rolled out an updated line of gaming laptops with screen sizes that range from 13 to 18 inches, along with an upgraded X51 desktop that can connect to its Graphics Amplifier for 4K gaming performance.
The Alienware X51 is a small-form-factor (SFF) desktop that occupies the same space as a gaming console. It can be configured with the latest sixth-generation (Skylake) Intel Core i5K and i7K unlocked processors and DDR4 memory.
Alienware X51The system can be equipped with up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 graphics internally, but if you need more power, the new X51 is compatible with the Alienware Graphics Amplifier. When connected to the system, the Graphics Amplifier gives you 4K gaming capabilities with an Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X graphics card. Other improvements include new PCIe-based M.2 SSDs and USB 3.1 ports.
Alienware also updated its line of 13-, 15-, and 17-inch laptops to work with the Alienware Graphics Adapter for 4K gaming. Other improvements include USB Type-C ports with USB 3.1 and Thunderbolt 3 support, PCIe M.2 SSDs, and Killer Wireless-AC and Killer E2400 wired Ethernet for lag-free gaming. Alienware's Dynamic Overclocking utilities monitor the system's CPU temperature so it can tune gaming and mulitimedia performance on the fly.
The Alienware 18 laptop, meanwhile, returns for hardcore gamers who want dual internal graphics, an overclocked and upgradable CPU, and a large 18-inch screen. Liquid cooling and Graphics Amplifier support give all the power to fans of truly huge gaming laptops. All of the Alienware laptops announced today are available for order now.
