FIFA 18 is coming this fall with Cristiano Ronaldo as the game's cover star.

Electronic Arts on Monday announced that Ronaldo, the all-time top scorer of Real Madrid C.F., will be the face of its next FIFA game, which is set to launch worldwide on Sept. 29. The company also today released the FIFA 18 reveal trailer; check it out below. The official gameplay trailer is slated to drop during EA Play, which runs from June 10 to 12.

"It is a real pleasure to be on the cover of FIFA18," Ronaldo said in a statement. "It's a great feeling and I am grateful to have been chosen."

EA said it recorded data on Ronaldo's acceleration, run cadence, skills, and shooting techniques during a recent training session in Madrid to "bring veracity to his likeness and personality in FIFA 18." This data also "informed important gameplay elements including fluidity, player responsiveness, and explosiveness," EA said.

Fans who pre-order the Ronaldo Edition of FIFA 18 on PS4, Xbox One, or PC will get access to the game three days early, plus $60 worth of additional content. Meanwhile, EA Access and Origin members will get up to 10 hours of play time starting Sept. 21.

Ronaldo, a forward for Real Madrid C.F. and the Portugal national team, was named FIFA Men's Player of the Year in 2016, and recently scored his 100th goal in European competition, becoming the first player ever to do so.

FIFA 18 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 systems.
