Now, in addition to iOS and Android smartphones, Edge is available for iPads and Android tablets, Microsoft announced today. iPad owners can download the free browser in the App Store while Android tablet users can grab it from Google Play.

Redmond has been testing the apps since early October with the help of Windows Insiders, and said that "hundreds of thousands" of people have already tried them out and sent feedback. Now, the apps are out of preview and available in the App Store and Google Play for everyone.

Since launching the apps in preview, Microsoft has added a few new features, including a dark theme and roaming passwords, which lets you save a new password on your phone and have it follow you to your PC.

Edge for iOS is available in the US, China, France, and UK. The Android version is available in all those places plus Australia, Canada, and India.

"We look forward to bringing MS Edge for iOS and Android to additional markets and languages over time!" Microsoft Windows and Devices Corporate VP Joe Belfiore wrote in a blog post.
