    Question vsmon.exe

I run win2000pro, with all service packs applied.

I recently noticed that "vsmon.exe" has become the second most active process on my system - after seti@home. I've been trying to find out what "vsmon.exe" does and have been unsuccessful. Can anyone explain what that process is?

As a secondary question, how does one find out what these processes do and what they are responsible for?

Zonealarm is one of the most incompatible programs around, despites its good intentions, it is very bugged

    Try

    Sygate Personal Firewall

    http://www.sygate.com

    Its free and extremely stable/featured
