    Question A7N8X deluxe once Again

    i been over to a few places and its showing the Standard A7N8X supports a FSB of 400/333/266 how is that possable?plusit shows the standard can unlock your cpu within the bios? and this is for FG do you know if they ever plan to release a Bios that unlocks you cpu or should i chuck my A7n8X Deluxe and get a abit?

    Talking yeah i installed it

    as soon as i saw it i loaded the the bios and have it curretnyl running at 170 fsb but i want to run higher or at least lower multi then cranck the fsb up but i dont wanna try till i know its safe and can do it =)

    As far as i know the new revision 2.0 boards support 400 fsb but they are still picky about ram. Seems like a bunch of peep's are running @200 and now they complain that they can't do 230...lol

    Havn't been seeing any peep's complain about not being able to get the lower multipliers with the latest bios, but my ASUS still has the wire trick so you'll need to test for yourself.

    My ASUS is running my XP 2400 @12.5 in sync with 2x512mb PC 2700 Nanya ram @185 fsb & all is happy, it's pushing my ATI 9700pro 16,000 in 3D mark 2001se

    Also have the Abit NF7-S in my sons comp and this board is a champ for OC'n...the bios is much better for pushing the mhz out of CPU & ram !

    I love my ASUS A7N8X-D it's always worked great, but if I were to replace it the Abit NF7-S would be my choice without question

    Give your board a try & see what happens....

    iv got the 1003 bios and well rightn ow im tersting er out, temps are still below 40C for cpu, mob is at 23C wich for a 2800+ seems a bit low, lol,
