Please Help!! I Erased A Folder

Well, I just erased a 25 GB folder, with a lot (all) files important to me.
How do I get it back?
I know there are recovery progrmas, but I can't remember the name of any of them, exept System works, but I am not happy to buy a whole suite only for that feature.
    Any help???
    THANKSSS!!!!!!

man-o-man sure hope you didn't use some eraser that over writes about 35 times is that correct 25gig folder ? thats one heck of a folder...

Conan lost some stuff on a bad HD he had & I'm almost sure that he used one of those things that egghead suggest and it worked.

Luckily the drive is a drive I use to store Files, so I can discnect it.
That place where they have free Software has changed the URL.
Now, I think I shouldn't watch TV while deleting un-needed files again, because I might mistake the position of the cursor. I though it was taking too long to delete a 1GB folder.
And since it was so big, it deleted directly, wthout reciclying bin
And I don't use Super erase progrmas, Just the good Old Delete Key, since I use the HD anyways, so I recycle all sectors
So I am sure I can recover it.
Just have to find the correct tool.

I couldn't find the old thread either. And by the way, I wasn't the one that recovered the old files, it was zErO.

That should fit your ticket. It is free, and based on the User reviews it sounds promising. 92% of the users rated it postively, while only 8% (probably user related issues) rated it negatively.

    Publisher's Description
From the developer: "PC INSPECTOR File Recovery is a data recovery program that supports the FAT 12/16/32 and NTFS file systems. Recovers files, even when a header entry is no longer available."

it's only 2.81MB as well, and is 100% free.

If you use it, let us know how it goes.

I used GetDataBack for NTFS (Runtime Software) and managed to get back the majority of my lost files, even after formatting the drive. I tried a couple of other programs such as Ontrack Easy Recovery. But found that GetDataBack, recovered the majority of my files.
hope it all works for you buddy
