    internet explorer and outlook problem!

I have windows XP and i've been having having trouble with my internet explorer 6 and outlook express. I successfully deleted them and now when i am reinstalling them (from downloading the internet explorer SP1 file on the mircosoft website), an error window opens stating that the software is not windows XP logo certified.

How do I proceed on installing them back in my PC?
    Please Help.

I remember encountering the same problem when I was still using Windows Me. Try rebooting your PC and then download once again.

There also must be a way to reinstall those using your XP disc.

    you deleted internet explorer?

uninstalled or just deleted the directory?

do you have the xp disc?
if you uninstalled it you should be able to goto the add/remove programs in control panel
    start menu/control panel

select add/remove windows components from the left bar and install internet explorer.

now goto windows update and update your computer
