    Ghostzilla: Surfing in Secret

    http://www.ghostzilla.com/

"So sneaky, you can surf right in front of your boss and he won't suspect a thing."
    -- TechTV

Ghostzilla browser for Windows shields you from the looks of people around you, when they try to see if you are surfing the Web.
    Over 60,000 users so far.

With Ghostzilla, they see your normal work screen. You see the Web page, drawn to appear inside your work application and to look like that application to a bystander.

If someone comes too close, move the mouse away from the Web page and it disappears, leaving the original application frame. When the coast clears, another mouse move brings Ghostzilla and the Web page back inside your application.

The browser always has only one window, framed in your work application, but you can surf multiple pages at once in different tabs. Needless to say, popup ads can't exist. You are not even bothered by the in-page ads -- any non-tiny image is hidden unless you hover the mouse over its frame.

    Gozilla Surfing In Outlook
The 1.0.1 version is only available on CD.. but the 1.0 version is available freely for download:

    Download Free Ghostzilla 1.0

Ghostzilla 1.0 is the previous version of the Ghostzilla browser. The differences between the two versions are:

    * Ghostzilla 1.0 does not have the evidence elimination feature of Ghostzilla-CD 1.0.1:
like other browsers, installs on your PC, uses system registry, and leaves cache and history files on the PC.

    * it is based on the older Mozilla 1.0 Release Candidate 3 browser:
Mozilla 1.0.1 used for Ghostzilla-CD has important changes and bugfixes over Mozilla 1.0 RC3.

    * it has less advanced navigation interface than Ghostzilla-CD:
there is no address bar and built-in Google search, and no forward/reload buttons.

Otherwise Ghostzilla 1.0 is fully functional and can be used for unlimited time.

this would be good... only if it used an updated browser.

I dont get the part about moving your cursor away will bring back your original work... wouldnt that mean that the screen would change to rid the webpage, and rise suspicion

    novel idea though.

I haven't tried it yet. They should update it to the latest mozilla stable build: 1.4.1.

A friend recommended it and said that it works really well. He says the moles at work have no idea what he is doing.. they think he is just checking his outlook email..

The cursor is so that if your boss were to be coming instead of closing the app or minimizing it, you can just move your cursor which hides it. Plus since it is hidden in your app it will just look like you were opening a document or viewing a new email.

Try that mirror. It could be that the server is temporarily down as well.

OK time for a little review...Ghostzilla seemed to work fine. It is one of 4 browsers I have installed and there don't seem to be any issues at all with it. Basically what they advertise is what you get. It isn't something that I will use all the time but it seems stable enough.

I tend to use slimBrowser most of all. I have Firebird, Ghostzilla, and of course IE. I really like the "Netcaptor" type features of SlimBrowser and it doesn't seem to use much memory.

I never have tried Opera...what are the features that encouraged you to use it?
