LOL - that was just a quick, "heads up". I don't have auto-updates turned on so I assumed most of you don't either. I check every couple days.

    It's getting frickin ridiculous...

I appreciate that they are putting out the updates but I am always hoping that they will be more proactive than reactive...

we need a new service pack darnit!

i think microsoft has its work cutout to keep users interests to upgrade to xp and 2003 server

most businessess rely on computer data to be safe.

you can bet there will be a huge migration of big business moving away from ms

the worm port intruder, mass email virus user spoofer, popup ads can install spyware, DoS attacks forcing MS to change the windows update URL and the theft of the half life 2 source code from hackers using vulnerabilities in outlook to install keyloggers and programs that can report all activities to a remote location giving hackers the holy grail.

we have been lucky that the worm didnt delete our hard drive and flash our motherboard bios effectively destroying the motherboard and computer.

you can bet that when this happens, the internet and general business will be in a stae of emergency

the updates ran smooth and no glitches.

surprise, surprise... will wonders never ceased.

there is a e-writer- Brian Livingston who writes about Windows from a hardware perspective. quite informative. he did not say anything bad about the upgrades (or at least that is what i understood.)
