Has anyone tried these out, I would hold off for a bit... there seems to be more bad fixes than good ones. A lot of problems with OpenGL settings etc for Mohaa and CoD

Granted they did fix some ningling bugs in the display control panel, but have added bugs that werent in earlier releases.

People are saying that this was a rush fix for 4.1, but they have seemed to have rushed 4.2

Well, if you only play UT2k3 or 2k4, then you will welcome the nice improvement *calling Dehc*

So which Catalyst release would you recommend? I just ordered my ATI 9800 Pro, not sure when I'll actually receive it since I ordered online from a local store and they're pretty new at online orders.

well Conan, it seems the best pick would be Catalyst 3.9, most stable across the board and with all games. But its one of those Hit and Miss things, you need to try them out and see what suits your current config and the games you play.

If you want to send it to me, i can spend the time testing it out for you.

Thanks! I'm glad I waited, the price is even lower than the regular nvidia 5900.

Really, nice... I soo need to upgrade, I want to get the new 9800XT ... Lol that card would almost be more powerful than my 800 Duron hehe.

Just waiting till AMD64 gets cheaper, and PCI-X

The 9800pro OC's to an XT easy

I will have the AMD 64 & PCI-X as soon as there's a good motherboard out

Conan I'm using the 4.2 drivers and all is great in UT2003, MOHAA, COD, MaxPayne2, NFSUG, SOFII, Rainbow six 3.....

Thanks! Pretty soon we can go back to comparing drivers again like we once did when we both were using the Nvidia Ti cards.

Update on my card, it's not yet here! I had to go to one of the store's branches to make a 50% deposit before they would send it to the store! Why bother having an internet site for orders if they conduct business in such an archaic way!
