Corrugated PC Case: TECH TV
While planning my next project, I decided that I wanted to do something that would cost less than $20. I didn't want a cheap duct tape mod, but something nice. So I came up with a cardboard PC inspired by Frank O. Gehry's cardboard furniture.
The plan is simple. I'll build a case that's sliced into layers, 102 layers to be exact. I'll use regular, corrugated cardboard from free, old boxes to avoid spending money.
Here's how the layers works out, front to back.
* Three layers for the front face plate.
* 92 layers for the middle.
* Four layers for the back.
The cardboard orientation is important. You don't want to cut along the natural lines. If you do, the edges won't have an appealing pattern. I cut the cardboard at a 45 degrees from the natural lines. I ended up using more cardboard, but the look is more pleasing.
After cutting the layers, dry fit them together to see how it looks. Then glue them together with some plain old white glue. Any screws can be reinforced with epoxy putty.

That should burn pretty easily.

Yeah I was thinking.. is he not gonna put some kind of material in to make it flame resistant?

one long frag fest and that thing will look like one of shadows old boxes, but not self inflicted.
