    I Got My 9800 Pro!

I just installed my new Sapphire 9800 Pro 30 minutes ago and just finished running 3DMark 2001SE and 03. Got 17,686 and 5,753 respectively. Wow, what frame rates! Additionally, the new card eliminated this sort of "wobbliness" or "screen flicker" that I had using my Nvidia FX5600 card. The colors also seem a lot more vivid than my old card, it feels like I also have a brand new LCD! ATI rocks!

I will post in the benchmarks thread when I have downloaded the rest of the benchmarking software.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

It cost $ 275. The price has come down, I was about to buy it when it was still $ 373, good thing I checked the price with one store who lists their prices online.

Posted it earlier today. The FX 5600 I'll probably stick that in my Dad's PC as he's using an FX 5200 right now.

I am now also able to run my motherboard in Turbo Mode (Performance Acceleration Technology setting or PAT) and it increased my 3DMark 03 score to 5,911!

I have been using my trusty old Original Built-by Ati, Radeon 32ddr (called 7200 now), since Dec 2000. It is still fairly competitve in my Duron800 and enough for me to play CoD. Will prolly look to upgrade to 9600XT or wait a bit for 9800XT or wait longer for some PCI-X cards

One thing I have learned, is no matter what you upgrade to, 2-4 months later something newer is going to be released. LOL

I am very happy with my computer now!

the ati card kicks butt and the graphics are rich and clear.

My memory benchmark kills and everything I do flies

my Windows XP is running like the early version of windows 95 where every menu you hit pops up instantly and programs cut through screens like a knife through butter
