    Martha Stewart: Punishment too small???

What do you think? I mean considering the charges:

Stewart was convicted of obstruction of justice, conspiracy and two counts of false statements for lying to federal investigators about the reason behind her sale of ImClone stock in December, 2001. She and stockbroker Peter Bacanovic maintained they had an agreement to sell ImClone (IMCL: Research, Estimates) if the price fell under $60-a-share.
A regular joe blow would get the slammer... what the hell is up with our world? Do celebrities deserve special treatment? I think not. Her ass should be thrown in the gulag...

What is worse, she is trying to appeal:

    She should be ashamed...

Yeah but don't you think that is a little too little.. I mean she lied, then she lied about lying, then she went to court, then she was convicted.. I think all that deserves about 4-5 years in the slammer.

Well Boogs, it isn't any different than athletes that are caught with drugs...They are media heroes and are able to get little or no time.

What this case taught us is that no should ever - ever talk to a federal law enforcement type under any circumstances. Regardless of the subject. Regardless of anything. You could set yourself up to a lying charge and could get years in the slammer.

We are not talking about lying during a deposition or during a trial. We are talking about lying during an interview.
