    how can u tell if u have usb 1.0 or 2.0

    Do you know the motherboard model or chipset, what processor are you using with it?

    Go into your Device manager and scroll down to Universal usb controllers and expand the tree.If you find Enhanced PCI to USB Host controller then you have it.

    all i have in device manager is
    usb composite device
    usb root hub
    usb root hub
    via rev 5 or later usb universal host controller
    via rev 5 or later usb universal host controller
    thats what i get when i expand it

    Rik is correct usb1.1.You don't have "Enhanced pci to usb host controller"which is your usb 2.0 driver supplied by the Mobo manufacturer and supported by M$.You can purchase an after market pci card with usb connections.
