SALINAS, Calif. -- It's cheating -- with a high-tech twist.
Forget the crib sheets or peeking over someone's shoulder, now some students are using their cell phone cams.
Officials at Everett Alvarez High School in Salinas say a student used a cell phone camera to take a picture of an exam. But the student was caught before he was able to transmit the image to a friend.
The district had allowed teachers to use their discretion in confiscating phones or telling students to put them away. Now teachers must take away any cell phones they see.
