I made sure (it was set to manual)

BootVis requires Task Scheduler and COM+ Event System to use the "optimize system" function.
Recommended Startup Type: Automatic
Dependencies: Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
***********edit - I just checked task Scheduler and it was set to auto but not started! - huh........ Possible fix

RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, stop and start the task scheduler service, wait for 10 to 15 minutes, and then schedule jobs.

There is a scavenger tool in task scheduler that runs 10 minutes after the service is started. This tool frees the memory that is still being used by deleted or scheduled jobs.
- but then I can't start it in the first place.

But I still get this message:

I got good results with Bootvis when Windows was booting slower when I first used my SATA drive as my C: drive. I later on went back to using my Maxtor as the C: drive as it's faster than my Seagate SATA drive.
