Still the pathetic 2 mb.
But yet my Yahoo acct that I only use for junk is 100mb...go figure.
LOL...250MB here and loving it!!! It's about time too.
Everyone I know has already moved to 250MB....I wonder what is happening with you guys.
lol, I guess they're "punishing" the other than Aussies :D
:offtopic:
Woohoo!!
Guess I'm not as observant as I thought...just noticed that I broke the 2000 mark!! and I still remember becoming a Bronze Member.
Aussie with 250MB -woohoo. Almost reached 100% of my 2MB storage only 2 days ago :D
I've just checked again, still 2 megs  and I'm using 97% of it. But if you guys are noticing changes, that's a good sign :)
It's official :D
Hotmail rolls out 250MB storage capacity in AU
Microsoft has followed through with its long-awaited plan of increasing Hotmail users' storage capacity to 250MB.
Hotmail users were this week pleasantly surprised to find the increase in free e-mail storage limits from 2MB to 250MB finally start to kick in. Microsoft announced its massive expansion plan last June but did not specify when it would become available.
A spokesperson for the Microsoft/Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd (PBL) joint venture in Australia, ninemsn, told ZDNet Australia that the roll out for the storage upgrade in Australia will be finalised in two weeks. She clarified that there was "no delay" in the roll out for the storage increase since its announcement in June. She added that ninemsn simply prioritised first the upgrade of its anti-virus feature, which was the top service requested by majority of their 4.1 million customers.

Still only 2MB for me,but i don't use it that much so i ain't too bothered.
I get 2GB with my ISP anyway. :)
I was sneaky and got an MSN email account with 2GB when they made the screw up some months ago.. :D
Still stuck at 2 mb though I thin they are really slow. I think of moving towards more and more to my gmail account though I don't want to contaminate it with all the junk that has been tormenting my hotmail account.
still 2mb here aswell
Still 2 MB Here
Well I'm happy with the 250. Best thing Microsoft has done in a long time. I've even started running Hotmail through Outlook since I am starting to accumulate my emails as opposed to going through and deleting old ones daily. Outlook just helps me manage them and find the emails I need more quickly.
I think it's very unfair that -unlike Yahoo! mail- the junk we get in Hotmail counts toward our mailbox storage quota. :mad:Quote:

I don't know if it has been the same for you, but since Hotmail upgraded the mail interface I have been receiving MUCH less junk mail. Now I only get 9-10 SPAM emails go to the Junk mail folder and about 1-2 slip through to my Inbox (per week).Quote:

Still 2mb for me too :(
But i have a Gmail account, 1 GB free space :) so im moving away from Microsoft and crappy Hotmail (no Microsoft bashing intended ;) )
Btw just wanted to say hi as its my first post :)
Welcome to TZ, Silver-Fox :D We're very happy to have you here with us.
Most of us have Gmail accounts as well, but probably don't want to change the addresses due to the trouble involved I guess.
Gmail seems to be the way to go. Especially with the ability to use your Gmail account as an online file storage system.. :D Hotmail has perks. I use it and it works flawlessly with Outlook. If I had 250Mb of storage I'd be happier. Maybe they might upgrade freely in the future for all??
I'm sure it's in the works.Quote:

I'm Somebody now...
Still 2MB for me. Damn, my email starts with an 'r'. If it's done in alphabetical order I guess i'll still have to wait for it.
would you store music on google? Is it ok? I only have 20 GB of music but it takes up space I hardly listen to anyway.
There you go! Enjoy :DQuote:

I don't care about my 2 mb Hotmail anymore. My G-mail already offers free POP3 service!
i heard they're upgrading gmail to pop3 in phases as well...which means i dont have Gmail POP nor do i have a 250 mb size hotmail acct....i heard yahoo was upgrading to 250 as well

POP3 isnt working here with thunderbird. I did exactly as what is said under the tab 'new features'. Maybe firefox doesnt save my preferences that i want POP3 enabled?
I finally got upgraded to 250MB now no more of those annoying notices about inbox being filled.
Do they still have that 30 day disactivation policy?
yes
I still have 2 MB and it seems I was the only with the Outlook Express not being supported too :(
For almost a whole week I could not check my email thru Outlook because I was receiving a message that using Outlook with Hotmail wasn't supported anymore :( Maybe, this is a preview of things to come?
I am using Hotmail instead of Yahoo just because I can connect with Outlook Express. If I could use Outlook (downloading the whole email not header) or any other email manager I would be even happier. I know I won't pay for an email account that receives as much as 60 spam messages a day :p
Thought their new spam system is working better. Unfortunately I couldn't get a Gmail. :(
BTW, I am posting today, because finally I could connect with OE :p
I can't believe it... still 2MB  and I hit the 100% storage limit almost everyday.
I got the 250 on one of my accounts. I have 3 but one I never check (probably is closed already)
Still, no upgrade on my main one
stillllll 2mb here !! :(
