It's still going. I am using it and their BOINC manager. So any of you going to join and let your PC process in the background? :D
From Rev's link:

But like the Stern show, SETI@Home will live on in another form. The project is being moved to the Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC), an open-source grid project using the same principles as the original project. BOINC will continue the search for E.T. radio signals, but a new client also allows users to devote spare CPU power for other research projects, such as climate change, astronomy, and curing human diseases.
nah...I have no spare cycles left.

But if you're spare PC clock cycles are not worth it, I understand. :piss: :assshake:
More info on where your "spare" cycles are going...

So BB, did you setup a TZ team or what? All I get from your link is a sign on page.
after you sign up, you can then join the team.
There chump, I joined.
Hallelujah! Welcome to Dark Side. :)
Still haven't gotten any data to process tho..."No Work from Project" is the message.
Have you updated or requested new work?
Yep, Several times. Still the same:
9/11/2006 12:41:46 PM|SETI@home|Deferring scheduler requests for 1 hours, 37 minutes and 51 seconds
9/11/2006 2:19:41 PM|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi
9/11/2006 2:19:41 PM|SETI@home|Reason: To fetch work
9/11/2006 2:19:41 PM|SETI@home|Requesting 25920 seconds of new work
9/11/2006 2:19:46 PM|SETI@home|Scheduler request succeeded
9/11/2006 2:19:46 PM|SETI@home|No work from project
It says that by joining the TZ team the team owner (You Boogs) can "prioritize" the work for the team systems. Do you think that is the problem?
I went in and setup via the BAM Acct Manager, attached to that and now it's running. Been processing for about 3.5 hours and almost finished with the first project.
I use the BOINC Manager. It works well and keeps it so that every time I start the PC it automatically starts new work or finishes old work.
