American Army I have been playing, but currently I am off the games completely...
Last PC games i have played was Tomb Raider Legend, and Need for speed most wanted,I also play America's Army but not in ages.Lately i have also been off games completely.
Well, I am almost not playing much myself. I have been at work an awfully lot of time, and I don't even get paid for it :p I have been working on personal hopefully to be work projects that I would like to incorporate in the company, some studying, revamping my consulting company, watching anime (before going to sleep). It has been difficult to come to the forum often (and I don't go to other forums)
To complete it, I have even been contemplating seriously to start job hunting in England (and finally live with my wife)
Lots of things, but that is why I need once a week at least 2 hours gaming
I just reinstalled Links 2001,cause I missed the golf sim.It crashed out with a video nv4 something.dll error upon which I installed the latest drivers.Haven't retested though.Others have reported this error with blue screen and have simply used the software instead of hardware accelleration.I'm not a big gamer, and am not in a hurry to stay into anything for long periods right now.I don't have a game port on my power box right now,but I just dug up an old creative live card, from my cannibal farm. When I install it and update the drivers,I may reinstall some driving sims like nfs or something else.:D
I find trying to keep up with all my TV shows, magazines, books, movies, music, work, and so on, as well as some studies, that games just don't have the appeal that they had for me as they have in the past.
Online games are great. But I don't find the single player games thrilling at all... I tried playing KOTOR II on the XBox and got bored after about 10 minutes into the game. But time is the major factor why I am not playing.
(My wife also calls me a child when I play them, so her nagging could be another reason why I've cut down game time)...
I hardly play games anymore these days, the only single player games that ever kept my interest were survival horror type gaes with a good story like the Resident Evil series,Dino crisis (before the 3rd crap one),Parasite Eve,and things of that nature.
I haven been playing many offline games lately. Fiddled around with Galciv2 and 'kinda' liked it (not enough to make me rave about it). I have Titan Quest and Battle for Middle Earth 2 ready to play, just haven't gotten around to it.
Company of Hero's looks great though and I might give that a shot.
Other than that, been playing WoW frequently when I'm not off goofing around with my daughter.
been playing BF 2142... but I am probably going to stop playing it soon.
Guildwars Nightfall and The Sims 2
Swine
I'm playing the waiting game
for
UT2007 :)
I tried playing that SID Meiers Railroad game but I couldn't get the hang of it... so I removed it. I am not so good at building an empire (I tend to over spend and then rack up huge debts too quickly)..
I am waiting on SPORE!!! Oh hell yeah.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spore_(video_game)
The waiting game... i like that one FG... i still dont have a proper games machine... only got CoD_2 and BF2 on work laptop.. but no time to play...
@BB.. i have railroad tycoon 3... i love it, but very time intensive... i was looking at getting Sid's Railroads (how does it look and feel) is there too much 'micro management' ... i just want to lay track and crash.. err.. simulate trains!
Also, i think that spore game will be great fun too! keep us posted on developments! cheers :D
Sid Railroad is pretty simple. You lay the track, buy locomotives, and start building your weath. But you have to upgrade stations, create double track and many other small things. It was fun while I was doing it, but I don't have that much time these days. I want to jump on, do something save and then jump back off in a few minutes. With Sids if I tried that, I always failed eventually because when I came back I'd forget what I was doing and eventually I'd run out of money.
Plus there is a stock market part of the game where you can buy or sell your own stock and that's how you win. Once you've bought all of your stock you can then start creating a real empire and going after competitors.
It looked and sounded amazing. The graphics were spot on. I liked the game a lot but just didn't have the time to dedicate to the game and I kind of sucked at it too.
thanks for the quick review BB.. i'll definitely have to check it out then ;)
Gothic 3
It is awesome, but I haven't figured out what I supposed to be doing yet and I must have played like 100 hours. I just killed loads of stuff so far,
die m0therfuxxers - kill kill kill.
I find it very relaxing.
Spore for me too. Hopefully out for next xmas. Which gives me time to save up as this will be the most expensive game ever because I need a new system to play it on. The slug I have presently would roll over and die as soon as the CD hit the drive. Ah well it's only money :D
I am currently playing MDK and Silverball (using DOSBox)
My laptop is dead, so I am using my grandmother's PC which is a 1.1 Athlon, with 386 of RAM, so not much power for games. I wish I had Need for Speed III here, so I could play some games that run here.
Having fun playing Serious Sam 2 with developers cheats. The graphics work and look great with my GT 6600.Crashed out on me when first installed so grab the patch. Also installed Microsoft flight demo. This is really cool, cause you can control the planes with your mouse movement and the wheel is the throttle.:D
Oh well that's it for another 3-4 years, Oblivion done and Gothic 3 done - both have terrible endings. At least I will be able to get some paperwork done now.
just had a 12 person lan party yesterday at a co-workers house. played company of heroes and COD II. had a 5 hr frag fest. but we blew his circuit like 3-4 times. Gonna talk with our facility guys to see if we can borrow the cafeteria on a sat so we can have a massive lan party it can hold easily 40 people without a problem. Hey stripe did you get the invite for the lan party?
oh man Phish.. when are we gonna bring back the TZ Lan parties! They were great fun.... I'll have some time over the xmas break.. i'll try to setup a server somewhere to get a frag session going. :)
Fixed my laptop, so now I am trying to finish all games. Yesterday I finished Max Pay 2 (first ending), and I am half way thru StarCraft:BroodWar and Tomb Raider 2
Playing Crazy Machines.It's a gadget puzzle game that's pretty cool.Electrical,steam,gravity,zeppelins,hot air balloons,ropes,winches,robots,magnets,conveyors....more.Lot's of fun.:D
I actually reloaded Red Alert II and started playing that again yesterday!
Just started FEAR expansion pack. :)
Battlefield 2142
NFS carbon Edition
X2Threat
Tigerwoods Pro Golf
DAOC
Just wrapped up Dark Messiah, NWN2, and C&C First Decade.
A friends been pushing the Gothic 3 so I think I'll hack away at that. Also playing the Vanguard beta on the side.
Just finished Need For Speed Carbon (using exotic) and I wasn't able to get 1,000,000 in Balance in career mode, so i am going to keep playing StarCraft and Tomb Raider II.
I also finished Max Payne 2. I liked the story
i finally finished Call of Duty 2 single player... now playing an old Comanche 4 game. On side lines Im still playing through Railroad Tycoon 3 (takes many hours for each game, so dont get to play much)... but i bought some bargin bin games after xmas sales... simcity 4, and the cossacks series. My new year resolution was to try and finish one game at a time before buying anything brand new.
I'm replaying Black & White and just been given Return to Castle Wolfenstein which seems OK
Mostly playing Sniper Elite these days. Really nice and challenging. Pretty decent graphics too.
I like that game, there is a similar Sniper game for PC.
Mainly on the COD_2 Multiplayer, but just starting out on the Company of Heros bandwagon... That looks really good !
Just got the xbox chipped, so playing some 'rented' games - i'm slowly getting used to FirstPersonShooters with the funny controllers... lol, where's WASD on XBOX?!?!
Yeah, I could never play a FPS on a console because there is no wasd, and the aiming is so difficult to control.
I am currently close to finish Final Fantasy VII. Good story.
I am also finishing again Need For Speed Most Wated (carbon kind of bored me quickly. I only find interesting the canyon runs). I am trying to save the profile in the last race (where the game finishes) because I like that last chase, me against all the police department.
LOL dehc, just don't try to outrun the cops in real-life!!
I can't try in in real life even if I wanted it bad.
My car is in USA, and I am stuck in Arg. Maybe I can tell the bus driver to try it :p
