smart tags question

hi:

i was wondering how you can determine if smart tags are used in a webpage

i think smart tags is a program that creates a link from a word in a webpage

if a webpage says the word bestbuy

a link to bestbuy will be embetted in the html code when you view the page in your browser

how can i check this and turn it off


ive been to too many websites that have these links and i'm suspicious


i only want to see a webpage as it was intended

i dont want to click on links placed on the page to trick me to go there


any ideas?
