Hi,
I just got a new dell inspiron 8600 notebook and I reformatted it with windows xp pro. Occasionally, when i am turning it on from standby mode my screen will get all distorted and will flash. I then have to manually turn off my notebook and reboot.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem

what kind of mobile gpu is in it. have tried using a newer driver?
I assume the system is under warranty...Best thing to do is gonna be to call Dell support and have them trouble shoot it. I know most people don't like to call for support but if hardware needs to be replaced that is the only way to do it under the warranty.
