These folders reside (this is probably common knowledge) at the end of my path: C:\Windows\System (or System 32). I'm wondering why both or how they came to be. Was there a reason for not having just 1 folder called "System"
These folders reside (this is probably common knowledge) at the end of my path: C:\Windows\System (or System 32). I'm wondering why both or how they came to be. Was there a reason for not having just 1 folder called "System"
The System folder contains 16-bit versions of drivers and system files that may be needed for older applications.
The System32 folder and its subfolders contain the core operating system files.
