    Really Need Some Advice Pls

    Hello
    My laptop came with win98, which was ok.
    so I upgrated by disc to xp proffessional, which gave me excell, access etc. but as far as anything else changing (better screen etc) it hasnt!

    AND, I dont know why but my computer still comes on displaying wind98 and when I go to WINDOW UPDATE, it updates the 98 not the XP prof.

    I have tried and tried different things and I just dont know what I have done wrong.

    PLEASE REPLY with ANY suggestions

    I believe that you installed Office XP. the MS office suite which has access, outlook, word. It didnt upgrade the version of windows.

    Or perhaps, it is dual booting but only loading win98 with no chance or time to select XP ??

    Not likely, Phish is probably more correct

    lol, If I hadnt signed in to tech community. I would have just kept trying to set up xp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
