You don't have to use the add/remove components to install anything really. I use it only for uninstallation.
Did you connect your webcam to you computer first? Maybe thats why it does not detect your webcam.

Ok, this time I uninstalled Timershot/and deleted all the files associated with it (anything with the name "timershot")/disconnected camera/rebooted/(just) opened Timershot, which installed it/rebooted/connected camera/ran Timershot...Did you connect your webcam to you computer first? Maybe thats why it does not detect your webcam.
...This time the devices drop window actually came down (unlike before), but still no devices recognized.
Then I tried disconnecting camera/running the program first/then re-connected the camera...still the same.![]()
