    We have this setup where I work, and we are still having problems with extremely slow XP logins. Is it possible (or at least likely) that these problems are caused by having separate machines acting as Domain Controller and DNS (even though the correct DNS address is provided by DHCP)?

    Whoa, you are only supposed to have 1 Domain Controller and 1 DNS per Domain site... (actively running - as you can have backups)
