hi,
im trying to install my software for my printer but when ive clicked on the install icon that comes up i get a new box appear with the following message!!
16 bit windows subsystem
c:\windows\system 32\autoexec.nt.The system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications.choose 'close' to terminate the application.
please could somebody advice me on this problem!!

I've seen this with our 16bit software and what it is, is spyware. go to bitdefender.com and run the online scan, then to be safe run spybot. then close any tsr's that are running.after you need to copy the autoexec.nt from the winnt\repair folder to the winnt\system32.

Follow what Phish says. Once that's done, if you are still missing the file, you can copy the file from the \I386 folder (if you have one) or from your windows CD.
Do the online virus scan first though. Something has removed/changed this system file and the install application can no longer read it properly.
